Specimen inventory and grading

Every crystal cluster, fossil plate, and lapidary rough chunk enters our Jasmine Estates bench for physical verification. We document crystal habit, matrix stability, and known locality before cataloging.

ACTIVE CLASSIFICATIONS

Three distinct collection tiers

CABINET SPECIMENS

Display minerals on matrix

Undamaged crystal terminations preserved directly on host rock. Each piece includes locality documentation, mineral group analysis, and notes on natural contact marks.

CABOCHON & FACET

Lapidary rough materials

Clean cutting material inspected with immersion oil and transmitted light. We eliminate fractured rind so cutters receive usable yield across agates, jaspers, and beryls.

VERIFIED FOSSILS

Authentic prehistoric material

Genuine vertebrate and invertebrate remains including Otodus shark teeth and ammonites. We document any mechanical preparation or matrix consolidation openly.

BENCH PROTOCOL

Four evaluation checkpoints

Loupe examination

Index registration

We inspect every face under 10x and 30x magnification to confirm natural terminations, identify contact points, and detect artificial color coatings or synthetic stabilization.

Hydrostatic balance testing verifies density against mineralogical tables, distinguishing genuine crystalline species from mislabeled trade material or dyed substitutes.

Host rock undergoes gentle structural handling tests to verify solid adhesion, ensuring display pieces survive postal transit without spontaneous shedding.

We draft an archival specimen card recording Dana classification, verified pit or quarry locality, and physical hardness measurements before packing.
